Amish in his very first book, which is also the first book in the Shiva Trilogy, introduces us to Shiva, the Hindu mythological god, who in this fantasy series plays a warrior. The story is set in the land of Meluha and starts with the arrival of the Shiva. Shiva comes into the state of Meluha from a war whereupon he is greeted as the insuperable 'Neelkanth' once his blue throat is discovered. 'Neelkanth' (the blue-throated) is supposed be the undefeatable ruler and the one who continues Lord Ram's legacy of reign who will help the Suryavanshis be redeemed off the wrath of the evil Chandravanshis who had allied with the even more evil Naga clan.

Initially, Amish Tripathi tried to experiment with his pen to define the philosophy of evil through his portrayal but somehow deviated and continued with this storyline, which, if you examine carefully, you will find that it is not very much far from the original idea, for Amish found a brilliant way to show the power of concept and prejudice via his portrayal of the Chandravanshi ideology through the eyes of Shiva, manifesting a great deal about what really is evil and what is considered evil in general.

The writing style is very beautiful and the flow is also very nicely induced which makes it an absolutely brilliant read for a reader. This book should be read by everyone who is an avid reader. It is also a very good book for new readers or for them who are willing to read but haven't yet found the curiosity enough.

Although that a lot of myth is involved, it is better to look at this as a rather fictional output. That way everything seems very obedient.
